princess

There have been many princess stories told in the house lately and you insist there is always a dragon or monster that is trying to get the princess. Thankfully someone always rescues her and everything ends up happily ever after.

Yesterday while driving home in the car, we were listening to classical music. Everyone was quiet because it was getting a little late, but out of nowhere you blurted out that it sounded like the princess was being chased by a monster. It took dad and I a minute to understand what you were referring to, but we discovered it was the music. There was a suspenseful turn in the song we were listening to and you associated it with one of your princess stories in your head. Each time the music changed tones you would ask what we thought was happening with the princess. It was a great example of your vivid imagination and made mom and dad both smile.

On the way to school this morning as if your princess story continued once you sat in your car seat, you said the monsters always want to eat up the princess, but they never actually do. I'm glad your imagination is still rated G.

You just started watching Peter Pan for the first time today, so we'll see what other stories you will come up with in the future. Love you little princess.
