What's Up!

Hello Eve!

What's up chicken butt? I realize how to spell "Poppie" now, thanks. Hey girl, you are growing up. You actually have hair and look like a little girl finally. I miss you a bunch, but I do get to talk to you on the phone and your Mom sends everyone videos and pictures regularly, so that is cool. Your favorite saying right now is "I don't think so". We are not sure what that is all about, but it sure cracks everyone up. How's the little brother deal working out? He kinda looks like a punk to me, but I am sure that you will keep him in line. Your house looks pretty full right now, but that makes it cozy, I'm sure. Your Mom said you were sort of looking forward to Christmas and that you liked everything. That is good, always take whatever you can get. You are still amazing everyone with your brains. I am pretty sure that you already have a higher IQ than your Aunt Erin, but she "is" going to graduate from college, which pretty much surprises us all. In fact, your Aunt Jill already graduated and is in graduate school. That is even more surprising. Your Mom said that you have been taking little Ben swimming and that he likes the water. Boys usually like to go swimming because they can just pee whenever they want to. Girls probably do that too. I know grandpas do. Anyway, I love you and miss you, but look forward to seeing you at Erin's wedding next spring. I am sure you will probably be able to read the dictionary by then, so that will be fun. Take care of your Mom and Dad and Little Ben. Love you, Poppie.

elephants, elephants, elephants

You had a great time with your dad yesterday at the Natural History Museum. You absolutely loved the huge elephant in the foyer of the museum. You practically ran through the mammal hall pointing out your favorite animals to dad and saying "Oh dad look at that (fill in the blank)." We decided to go to the cafe to feed Ben and you cried because dad wouldn't buy you any french fries. You ate your yogurt and fruit and were in a much better mood. You've discovered movies and love watching any cartoon movies that have animals in them. Shrek 2 is your favorite right now because there is a cat, donkey, and horse in it. You crack up every time the cat has a hairball and coughs it up. You are still wearing pink everyday all the time. You are refusing to wear your coat outside, and instead insist on putting the water/windproof cover on the stroller to stay warm.

You have been enjoying talking on the telephone more and more. You can actually have conversations with others. We are getting ready to head to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and you told grammie to bring you a present.

You've also been building a lot of sandcastles and barns with your blocks and foam puzzles and legos. School is going better for you and mom actually was able to leave you there one day for about 20 minutes before I was called back. I guess you were very uncooperative and would not settle down when they tried to take you to the park. Even once you got there you would only sit by yourself. You've also recently become scared of your toy firetruck and refuse to touch it or allow anyone else to touch it for fear the siren will start up.

You are really growing up and we are enjoying every new thing you do! Love you.

HALLOWEEN

Eve, I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you were as a princess for Halloween. I called you and you told me all about your big night! Your mom said you ran your little heart out to each door you went to and were very good saying trick or treat. You were even saying Happy Frankenstein, which I thought was adorable. You said that you got lots of candy, you got to see a kitty, and your best friend. Your grandma, aunt Jill, and I were very upset that we didn't get to go trick or treating with you. We went to a Halloween parade and I could only think of you and your little brother because you would of loved to of seen the fire trucks, horses, and clowns. Keep up your dancing and never be shy to dance alone! I love you lots and miss you Aunt E
