It looks like we'll be travelling home to Coffeyville in a few days and your mom is really excited. You will have such a busy time meeting all your family and friends that you may hate it. Your grama is about to faint because she is so excited. She has collected all kinds of baby things for you, such as a car seat, stroller, crib, bassinet, and swing. You will be horribly spoiled by her and your grammie. It will be ridiculous! I have been carrying you in your sling more lately, since that's what I will be carrying you in on our flight to Kansas. I sure hope it goes smoothly!
You have been a lot more vocal lately and you and I have conversations many times daily with only aahhhs and gooahhhs. Your dad laughs at us, but that's only because he can't do it yet. He's jealous. You also love smiling at us in the mornings or evenings after you eat. There is nothing cuter than your big gummy smile!
I can't believe how fast you're growing and I'm sure your family in Kansas will be shocked. Your dad thinks you weigh 12 pounds now, but we haven't had a chance to weigh you yet. You have lost all your original hair on the top of your head and have brown hair from one ear around to the other and all blond peach fuzz on top. You have a head like an old man that's lost most of his hair.
Your dad doesn't like feeding you with the bottle much because you choke and spit up a lot while he's trying to feed you. You also definitely prefer the breast over the bottle, but we have to get you used to the bottle a little for when I go back to work.
Your dad still thinks that you don't know who he is, so hopefully soon, you'll be more obvious with your smiles when your dad talks to you or picks you up. I'll definitely have to update you on how much you enjoy the flying in a few weeks.
