eve, the musical

Your dad and you have always made up songs together. Every time you used to get in the stroller you would sing songs to yourself that were usually a variation of the many songs that are sung at home. Then came a time when you would ask dad and sometimes mom to sing a song about something you saw on your walk. Then came a time when you would sing an entire song without missing any words. Now instead of just saying something you will sing it. Whether you are at the dinner table and asking to be excused or out walking in your stroller you sometimes break into song and require only sung replies. Last weekend you attended your first Opera. You saw La Traviata, which was a live simulcast at the new Nationals Stadium that was built near our house. You got to go down on the outfield grass and run around. Dad said you were dancing and twirling to the music. Of course it was all in Italian, but it didn't bother you.

You've also been attending a new school with Ms. Bernadette. She is very structured and has a well established routine, but you seem to really enjoy it and have been telling me about your new friends and what you have been doing. It's been fun hearing about your day! I can't believe how quickly you are growing up and what a great big sister you are!
