back on schedule

It's been a while, but I'll catch you up on everything that has gone on the last month or so. First of all, we had a wonderful time at home in Kansas. People always told me that infants only sleep on plane rides. Well you were an exception and were awake the whole 4 hours and fussing. You were just as big as the 4 month old that we sat next to also. The best thing was that she was the crying baby and you weren't! You got to visit so much of your family and of course you spent more time with your immediate family. Who could have imagined how much you would be loved by everyone. It was a given how much you meant to the grandparents, but your aunts are the ones that surprised me. Aunt Jill's love was concrete when you looked up into her eyes while she was rocking you and just cooed and smiled at her. Aunt Erin's love was obvious when she had to leave you for the last time. She wanted to carry you out to her car as she left. She didn't want to let you go and when she did she was trying not to cry. Even Grandpa was surprised by that. While you were home you received so many clothes that your closet is now full. I have been playing dress up with you ever since. Your grama was heartbroken that she couldn't be at home with you all day every day. She tried to keep you up at night to hang out with you and succeeded until about midnight. Your grandpa made you your first picture book which you should enjoy. Oh yeah, your dad missed us too. The first week was okay, but by the 8th day or so, he started telling us that he was ready for us to come home. Your dad even asked me to put the phone up to your ear so he could talk to you. Isn't that sweet.

Second, you had your two month doctor's appointment. You weighed about 15 pounds and were 25 inches long. That officially makes you amazon. You also received your shots, which about broke my heart. You screamed and didn't feel well for a whole week afterward. I definitely don't look forward to your next shots.

Third, your grammie and poppie are coming out to visit for Halloween and will be here in 4 days. They are so excited to see you again. Who knows what we'll be doing while they are here, but probably shoppig with grammie.

Fourth, we have started looking for someone to watch you while I work. Your dad told me that we would take all the money I earn and put it into a fund for you and hopefully for your college.

I guess, I need to be better about writing on your blog, but so do some others in the family. Hint, hint. Love you baby.
